Who are we?

Now that you are going on this adventure, you might be wondering about who are your coordinators?
Here is a little bit of information on each of your Coordinators:

Cookie Cantwell
Cookie Cantwell is the Province IV Youth Ministries Coordinator and is The Youth Ministries Coordinator at St. James Parish, Wilmington, NC. She has served on several Episcopal Youth Event Design Teams and has served on the Province IV Youth Mission Design Teams to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and to the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota. Cookie coordinates Happening in the Diocese of East Carolina and is working on the first Province IV Middle School Event this summer. She loves our National Parks and has explored many of them. Cookie enjoys hiking in mountains and reading, needlepointing and kayacking! She is SOOOSO excited about this Quito Mission Experience!

Cameron and Roberto Vivanco
Roberto and Cameron Graham Vivanco serve with South American Missionary Society (www.sams-usa.org) in Quito, Ecuador. They are seconded (loaned to) an International Teams team in Quito, known as Youth World.

Cameron, a native of Durham, North Carolina, arrived in Ecuador in early 2002. After graduating from The University of the South, Sewanee, she served as the coordinator of Youth Ministries at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, South Carolina from 1995-2000 in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina. In 1998, she began discerning a call to full-time missionary service in the area of youth ministry.
Roberto is a native of Quito, Ecuador. He studied classical guitar at the National Conservatory of Ecuador and is currently studying at SemiSud, a protestant seminary. The two met in the Episcopal Church where Roberto was a volunteer youth leader and Cameron had been invited to participate in leadership training. They were married in August 2006.
Together, Cameron and Roberto work out of Youth World, serving in a variety of capacities, including but not limited to, directing the QuitoQuest Short Term Missions Program, training and equipping Latin Youth Leaders, starting a scholarship program for underprivileged children and adults, leading a worship band ministry, serving as part of the Leadership Team for Youth World and as a music/worship leader at a partner church. They also pioneered the Diocesan Youth Program in Central Ecuador, developing and discipling youth and youth leaders.

Abi Moon
Abi Moon currently serves as the Associate Rector at St. John's Episcopal Church in Tallahassee, Florida. Before she was ordained a priest, she was a youth minister for seven years and has worked with mission groups at St. Paul's Chapel in NYC, in Whitehorse, South Dakota, at Mission on the Bay in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and also in "her own backyard" in Augusta, Georgia. She is thrilled to be working with Cameron, Roberto, and Cookie on this planning team and excited for us all to meet in Atlanta, Georgia on July 9, 2013.
